Apple opte pour le Blu-Ray
Sans grande surprise, Apple a annoncé officiellement aujourd'hui qu'il allait supporter la technologie Blu-Ray avec ses prochains produits. Steve Jobs, le président d'Apple avait déjà annoncé il y a quelques temps qu'il ne souhaitait pas se tourner vers l'HD-DVD. Apple espère donc que le Blu-Ray deviendra le nouveau standard optique pour succéder au DVD.
Pour rappel, les fabricants Nec, Sanyo, Toshiba et Memory-Tech font la promotion et supporteront l'HD-DVD. Tandis que le Blu-Ray est supporté par un consortium qui regroupe déjà Dell, HP, Hitachi, LG, Matsushita, Mitsubishi, Pioneer, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, TDK, Thomson et maintenant Apple.
